The first interview needs to be posted by noon next Tuesday, October 23. That day in class, we will learn how to evaluate, tabulate, and review these posts. The best interview will be awarded a 10% grade boost (one letter grade for the semester). The next week (10-30), we will not meet in class but rather in my office. I will put out a schedule next week for you to meet me in my office for a 10-minute talk about this class and you.
One week later, Tuesday at noon, the second interview needs to be posted. That's November 6. The last interview is due one week later. All interviews need to be completed by November 13, noon.
The same day, we will discuss topics for final papers. These need to fit into the context of Global Communications so that you can use the newly found expertise for the final paper. If a research paper is not your cup of tea, do a fourth interview but know that students who choose that option cannot get an A in class (unless they won an interview competition before). Final papers are due on the day of our final by 6PM. Questions? Ask!
